I found the elastic at the waist very strong, and worried it would be uncomfortable to wear due to even the slightest stretch meaning the elastic squeezed firmly back. While I would prefer the elastic to have a little more give to it I actually found it fairly comfortable to wear. And the leg slits are perfect! I love long flowy skirts but am not such a fan of tripping over hems! In the Rowan, even walking up stairs is possible without needing to hold the skirt out of the way, if you get your legs lined up to step through the slits. I wore this skirt camping, paired with the Evenstar top, and felt perfectly safe around the campfire. No worries about it getting in the way as the slits allowed it to hang back away from the flames. This is a beautiful, practical skirt (it would be even better with pockets!).
I absolutely love this skirt and so did everyone else. I felt unique and didn't see another person wearing one at our local ren faire. The material is so comfortable. I usually wear a 16/18 (42" waist/40" hips) because of my muffin top, but the XL has a lot of elastic in the back. It never stretched out and worked great with added layers like my blouse and corset. The length is perfect for a mid-rise to high-rise for me being 5'7" with no heels.
Bought this for Ren Fair and I will be wearing in everyday life too. The cut is amazing. It flows beautifully and looks amazing.
This skirt is so comfy, flowy and fun. I get so many compliments and feel so free in it.
